Epiphany
Like a dancer
a lovely boy
at crest of leaping
caught in joy
The heart is caught
in every nerve:
the soaring elm
is a still curve,
air is moveless
as flight in dream,
thin quick light
a solid beam.
Poise, balance,
stricken, tense,
you, and the world.
have no defense.
